The iHeart Radio Music Awards went down tonight at the forum which means some of your favorite stars took home accolades.
Another year of awards were handed out so you know we’ve got you covered with a winner’s recap.
Artists performed, the red carpet was star studded and another year of winners were crowned. Justin Timberlake was first up taking home Song of the Year for his hit “Can’t Stop the Feeling.” Justin made a point in his speech to say that when he wrote this song he wanted to write a song that unified people. He then spoke directly to those who have been marginalized by giving an important message to anyone who is QUOTE – black, brown, lesbian, gay, or trans.
Female Artist of the Year went to Adele who also took home Best Pop Album of the Year. The Chainsmokers cleaned up winning Best New Artist, Best New Pop Artist, Dance Song of the Year, and Dance Artist of the Year. Male Artist of the Year went to Justin Bieber who’s song “Love Yourself” also took home Best Lyrics. Our man Ed Sheeran took the stage to accept the award seeing as though “Love Yourself” was a group effort by Justin, Ed, and Benny Blanco.
Kelsea Bellerini won Best New Country Artist, Bruno was honored with the Innovator Award, Drake took home Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, Chance the Rapper won Best New Hip Hop Artist, The Weeknd snagged Best R & B Artist of the Year while Rihanna’s Anti took home Best R & B Album of the Year.
And kudos to Harmonizers who won the Best Fan Army award for Fifth Harmony.
