The 36th Annual Gender Studies Symposium at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, examined concepts of accessibility and dynamics of resource distribution in relation to gender and sexuality.

The symposium titled “Point of Access,” called attention to questions of who or what serves as a point of access and how points of access are determined, and whose needs are met.

Acclaimed author and cultural critic Roxane Gay delivered one of the Gender Studies Symposium keynote addresses on Friday, March 10, 2017.

The keynote is introduced by symposium co-chairs Abbey Griscom ’17 and Shade Samuelson ’17.
