Lavender Lounge is porn different! Detailed review. What you get ... When I heard that I was supposed to review lavenderlounge.com I was very excited. I have heard about the blog on this site and I expected the best. Lavenderlounge offers over 21,000 photos of blazing hot men as well as 17 videos broken down into 66 clips.
When I first visited the site, I was wowed by the splash page. The splash page is a unique picture of cartoon men. Basically from this one picture it shows what this site has to offer starting you off from twinks to bears. The first place I dove into was the massive pictures section. The photos are broken down into nine different sections which are: Paparazzi pix, Muscle Bear Cub, Vintage, Hunks, Faeries, Punks, Twinks, Straight Guys, and Belly Worship. A lot of categories with a lot of hot guys.
I checked out many of the galleries and from what I can tell they are all exclusive and all had wonderful quality. One problem that I found in the navigation however was navigating from one gallery to another. Once you choose one of the nine galleries, you are taken to a sub-photo gallery which is sorted basically by model or an event. If there is another page the navigation is on the left, which at first was a bit hard to find. After you select from the sub-category the navigation is at the bottom and top of the page.
Next I headed over to the videos section. I was both surprised and let down at the same time. I was expecting to see a lot more videos. Once you click on videos it is broken down into four different sections, only one of these sections has exclusive content. What shocked me in the videos section were the exclusive video interviews which I never thought I would find here. This is both a positive and a negative in my mind. Usually if I want to pay for a porn site, I want to see just porn. The up side of this is, these are real interviews with real porn stars, and you will only find them here on Lavenderlounge. And there are some hot guys that are interviewed too! Yummy!
Besides the exclusive videos there are three Pay Per Minute sites: Nakedsword, Falcon Movies, and Gay Video Café. The exclusive videos are only in QuickTime and you cannot download them. QuickTime is free, however if you do not already have it, it is a bit of a pain to have to download a player to watch a video.
After watching a video, I went to go look at this blog on the site I heard about... The problem was, it took a bit to find the link. The link is actually at the bottom of the page with a few other links. The design of how the site was made looks good; I just don't think that the blog link is placed well.
Anyway, besides this misplaced link, the blog is really amazing. The blog entries can really be about anything; obviously the main topic is porn or models. I found humor in a lot of the posts, which I enjoy (believe it or not).
So let’s do a little recap:
The color scheme of the site is very nice with complementary colors (yellow and purple).The design of the site is professional and has some cool cartoon drawings. The navigation is so-so, there are some parts where the navigation gave me some trouble, but not too much to deter my interests in the website (not much can deter me from looking at bears though… hehe).
The pictures and videos are great quality, in the pictures section there is an option for a slideshow which works well. The amount of exclusive videos is lacking but there are plenty of pictures that all are exclusive.
