The transgender legal rights activist and Hindi actor Laxmi Narayan Tripathi speaks about the troubles going through customers of India’s hijra neighborhood, many of whom have been victimised or compelled into begging or sex function.

Laxmi’s fame has offered a handy system in the fight to realize equality, dignity and inclusion for India’s 3rd gender. She is the founder of the sexual minorities legal rights organisation Astitva, and in 2008 became the initial transgender individual to depict Asia-Pacific at the UN.
