Brighton is dubbed "the Gay Capital of Britain" and is one of the most popular areas in the United Kingdom. Located right on the south coast, Brighton is a great city and is jam-packed with the best of English gay pubs and bars.
Brighton is home to the biggest Gay Pride Festivals in the UK. Every August people from all over the country flock here in order to celebrate Pride. The events are held in Preston Park and the carnival is fantastic. You will really enjoy this event. In total Brighton has around 400 bars and clubs and the majority are gay oriented. The whole area is gay friendly, with the spill over from this town.
London is the capital of England and is home to the most famous English gay bar in the country. GAY is a fantastic venue. It is huge and offers several rooms, dance floors and bars and has been host to a great range of shows and live music including The Spice Girls, Kylie Minogue and more. Regular guests at this amazing English club include Kylie, Geri Haliwell and Sophie Ellis Bexter. You can also see Westlife here quite regularly and the venue has a fantastic atmosphere. You will not want to miss this great place. In fact, new hotspots are constantly cropping up in London, and the city center is very gay friendly, with all sorts of different types of venues catering for the gay community.
England as a whole is fairly gay friendly, although like most countries you are better off sticking to the main cities as the gay scene is more developed there.
