Getting Your Suit Facts Right

Just like women have them, so too do men. There are a set of fashion rules that you need to follow in order to get the best out of what you are wearing. The first thing you need to do is be in the good books of your tailor. No matter how good the suit you purchase, it will need some tweaks to make it perfect for you. That is where the tailor comes in. In some cases, the pants will need to be shortened, and in others the cuff taken out of a bit. Your tailor is the only one who can give you the best there is.

A few things you need to keep in mind when buying a suit off the rack is to get the exact size. Most men tend to buy suits who is size too large for them. Make sure your suit fits well on your shoulders and does not stick out. Its OK with the sleeves are a bit off here, your tailor will be able to take them in for you. He should be able to do the same with the fitting of your pants. They should not be allowed to bunch at your feet.

If you have the option then a good idea would be to go in for a tailor option. Your tailor will be able to tell you whether you should go in for slightly longer sleeves or for cuffs that are a bit shorter, etc. You will be surprised at the amount of information a tailor can have for you in terms of fashion statements that are current.

A must when it comes to putting together your suit is that you match your socks. The main thing you need to remember is that you need to match your socks to your suit and not to your shoes. If you have a navy blue suit with black shoes, then you need to have a navy blue socks. Choose a tie that is not too slim, one, which is three inches wide at the largest point on the tie is the ideal size.

An undershirt can be quite a tricky affair. If you are clean-chested, then you can skip an undershirt, and this will make you look suave. But if you do have chest hair, and if you tend to perspire, a crew neck undershirt is your best bit. This will not show through the shirt too much and gives you a clean appearance. All men carry a wallet, but make sure yours is not overly stuffed and ends up look like a small pet in your back pocket.
