How To Avoid Becoming A Victim

A very common sad and realistic factor seems to be roaming the alleys of reality these days. Not meaning to be sci-fi scary nor wanting to alarm needlessly… However, it’s fact of life that unexpected situations do come up for anyone whether in their teens or in their 50s, 60s, or 70s,… that factor is SAFETY!

An ancient saying said that there is safety in numbers, well, honestly, the older I get the more I come to realize that statement has validity.

Sometimes we hear of sad and violent situations that happen to ‘other people’ but when it happens to ‘us’ we are shocked!

Why are we shocked?!

Really, we heard the warning and we heard the precautions, We have to ask ourselves, why didn’t we take those warnings and precautions seriously?

Following are 3 tips for your own safety, please take them seriously:

  1. Always walk or travel with someone: This may be a friend, a lover, a spouse, a family member, or even a supervisor!
  2. Always be aware of your surroundings: These may be bushes, cars, hills, apartments, parking lot, and yes, even a playground.
  3. Always have a cell phone with you: Most important tip of all. Today’s cell phones have a GPS (by law) that could save your life.

Oftentimes we think that emergencies and ‘out of the ordinary’ things happen to ‘other people’ but in this article I ask you, “Have you considered that YOU may be the ‘other people’?

Don’t take that chance to find out!

Take care of yourself and your loved ones… Be Prepared!

Life, sometimes does happen without our permission, do what you can to make it a HAPPY ONE!
