Catholic bishops will be discussing same sex marriage in an ‘extraordinary’ meeting this October. The meeting was called to look at the results of a survey of social attitudes by Catholic laity, though dramatic changes in church policy are not expected.

The state of Brunei begins to phase in its harsh new Sharia Law penal code from today. Death by stoning for homosexuality will begin in phase 3 of the process, which will commence in 3 years time.

And finally, the United Nations Human Rights, ‘Free & Equal’ campaign has released a Bollywood-style pop video featuring a gay couple. The song, titled ‘The Welcome’ is intended to develop understanding in India of LGBT people.
