Gay rights activists have disrupted the Easter sermon of England’s most senior clergyman.
6 banner-waving protestors climbed into the pulpit at Canterbury Cathedral and jostled Archbishop George Carey prior to being dragged away by police.
The protest was organised by the homosexual rights tension group Outrage which has been angered by Carey’s opposition to proposals to reduced the age of consent for homosexuals.
UPSOUND: Peter Tatchell, homosexual rights campaigner
“Dr Carey supports discrimination from lesbian and homosexual people today. He opposes lesbian and homosexual human rights. This is not a Christian instructing.”
